Canaan MX MUD Race Pics Are UP!

The rainy day pictures of the August 29 race are finally up.  I am sorry I did not take more but I did not have the proper protection for my camera, and I misjudged the amount of interest there would be in the pictures.  I have learned my lesson, next year I will be sure to bring the proper protection for the camera and take lots of pictures!    For this race there are only 2 key words used for the search engine.  "startingline" and  "noid".  I labeled any riders I could not identify with this.  There are also at least a few riders who I'm sure I mislabeled due to the amount of mud on covering their numbers.

Canaan MX Race Pics Are done uploading!

I just wanted to thank every one for a great season, it was a blast and I look forward to taking pictures for you again next year!

Use the words "startingline" in the search box to see some of the action at the gate.  I did not catch any big crashes this week ( not saying that's a bad thing. ), the key word to view the old ones is still "crash".

Metallic Prints

Every one who has tried the metallic prints loves them!

With a glossy finish and unique metallic appearance, these prints have extra visual interest and depth. They are printed on long-lasting Kodak Professional Endura Metallic paper.

This paper uses a proprietary combination of film laminate layers that produce striking, three-dimensional, lasting images on an ultra-bright background. The effect is sometimes described as "chrome on paper."

You'll see extreme sharpness, brightness, and color saturation with an intense black density that increases its appeal. The proprietary laminate layers also increase the durability and tear resistance of the final print, increasing the opportunities for display applications.

Proof too Print

image proofMany people have commented on how different their prints look compared to the proofs they see online.   I thought I'd take a minute and explain why.  The image's I upload after the race are basically undeveloped.  Prior to uploading the pictures I use software that will apply a certain amount of sharpening and or exposure to the images to make them look a little better in the small low resolution size found on my website.  After the customer buys a picture I then take the High Resolution Images and individually make what ever adjustments are necessary.  Often this ranges from sharpening to bringing out details which are hidden in the shadows.  This picture is a great example of how much detail can be brought out of the shadows around the goggles. Just hover your mouse over the picture on the right ( it may take a few seconds to change)  to see the before and after.  The changes made to this picture are subtle, but important.

Continue Shopping Feature Changed

Wednesday July 8 2009

If you have already bought pictures from my website this season you may have used the "Continue Shopping" button after adding a picture to your cart.  It brought you to the general gallery instead of returning you to your search results page where you were adding the pictures to your cart.  I am happy to say that has been changed.  When you hit the "Continue Shopping"  button,  it will now bring you back to the page containing your search results.

Search Engine Help

Hello everyone, thanks for checking out the site.  I would like to take just a minute of your time to explane how the search engine on this site works.  The most important thing to remember when searching for your pictures is that the only information I attach to your pictures for the search engine is your rider number.  When I go through the pictures after the race I enter the number on the side, or front of the bike exactly how I see it.  For example if your number is "7" that is the number I use, not "#7", or "07", "007" etc....... I also do not use the class info, just the rider number that I see as you go by.

Below is a diagram show how and where to enter the search details. Please feel free to call me or use the contact info on this site if you need any help finding your pictures.
